 Why socialization is crucial for an organization



When new employees enter an organization, they feel out of space because of the new surroundings, new boss and new co-workers. Hence it is the responsibility of the management to orient to employees and to make the process of socialization smoothly. This will ensure that the new employee adapt to the organizational culture as soon as possible. The process is adaptation is commonly tern induction or socialization.

Socialization: is a process of adaptation, adjutancy, making arrangement for setting one employee in the organizational environments (Amtrong, 2006).

Organizational socialization process is crucial for the following reasons.



01)   The transitional phase is characterized by stress, anxiety and uncertainty. Socialization provide new commers with information regarding roles, responsibilities, co-workers, and organization in general.

02)   When a new employee starts in his new job position, it is important them to self-evaluate whether they are failing or success. Socialization provides a path to communicate with managers, supervisors, mentors, subordinators and co-workers to get feedback.

03)   The future of the organization is based on the result deriving from the performance of it is employee for the recruitment and socialization. Company spends huge number of financial resources. So, a well establish socialization process, can pass information to the next generation such as goals, Values, norms and principle of organization.
